THE ORIGINAL LOW
MELT YARN
Woolbond ™ is the result of Thomas Carr's continuous programme
of research and development into maximum performance fibres and enhanced
spinning techniques. The inner strength of Thomas Carr's unique Woolbond
™ system is activated by heat which is applied in the final
processing stages permanently fusing the fibres into a mesh throughout
the yarn. |

SPUN FROM THE BEST
OF RAW MATERIALS
All yarns produced at Carr's spinning plants, both in Yorkshire and
in Australia, are wool rich. Wool is specified for the toughest wear
and most elegant locations from palaces to prestigious hotels as well
as smart comfortable homes.
But not any wool will do.
Only pure new wool that is clean, long, resilient and sound is set
aside for use in a Carr yarn.
In addition, Carr's wool undergoes no less than seven separate criteria
assessments before it is finally accepted for spinning into Woolbond
™ yarn. |

UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY
Once selected, Carr's wool is gently but thoroughly washed and scoured
to remove any residual oil or dirt and then blended to provide an
exact mix of fibres with the right length, diameter and crimp for
the specific texture of yarn and the precise style of carpet. Then,
and only then, is it spun into the length and thickness required for
making some of the finest carpets available in the shops today. |

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL
COLOURS
The deep. clear colours that typify a Carr yarn, can only be achieved
through the total dying of each of the thousands of individual fibres
before blending or by totaly immersing the yarn in a dye bath once
it has been spun. The colours in Carr yarns are dyed throughout, making
them especially sought after for beautiful clear pastel and heather
shades and the subtle rich tones that are the perogative of only the
highest quality carpets.

Recommended for heavy wear, Saturn Twist has a pile content of 80%
wool, 10% nylon and 10% polyester plus the unique Inner Strength of
Woolbond™ from Thomas Carr. The exclusive Woolbond™ process
fuses each fibre into a reinforced yarn helping to maintain the long
term appearance of your carpet and reducing fibre shedding.
SUPER SATURN TWIST
For extra luxury, Super Saturn Twist contains over 25% more pile yarn
and is suitable for extra heavy wear in all areas of the home.
The Saturn collection is available in 56 stunning colours and two
widths, 3.66m. and 4.75m. (12ft and 15ft) with a natural woven jute
back. |
